Lexus Previews 2019 NX F Sport Black Line Special Edition

When it comes to being popular, the Lexus NX lineup has proven to be a very popular model for Lexus dealers. While we are still scratching our heads over the oddly styled and distinctively smaller UX crossover, Lexus engineers have decided to give the NX a bit more style, with an all new limited edition model that aims to help it reconnect with its sporty DNA. Dubbed the NX F Sport Black Line Special Edition, this particular iteration of NX boasts a very long moniker, as well as an equally long suite of tweaks to help it stand out somewhat from its mainstream siblings. The bulk of the exterior styling (for better or for worse) is largely unchanged, with buyers being able to choose from three different colors — Obsidian, Atomic Silver, and Ultra White while also gaining the 19-inch wheels from the traditional F Sport variant. While the exterior …

2016 Lexus NX200t F SPORT AWD – Road Test Review – By Ben Lewis

If the NX200t did one of those TV Ancestry tests, what would show up? Platform sharing today makes it difficult to figure out what is a real brand anymore. You’ve got rebadged Mercedes posing as Infiniti’s. Jeeps driving around on Fiat underpinnings. Fiats driving around on Mazda bits. Subaru’s, Scions. And more.  Oh my. Then we have intermingling within the automakers as well, and they can be very well disguised. Case in point, Lexus and Toyota. There’s a lot of sharing going on. In all honesty, though, it always felt like the downscale Toyota models were getting Lexus goodness, rather than the other way around. Still, with the crazed small crossover/SUV wars going on, if you’re not a player, you may not be in business in a couple years. So Lexus knew it needed something special in a hurry to slot below the larger RX300. Voila! Enter the NX200t. (And …

Road Test Review – 2015 Lexus NX200t F Sport AWD With Ken Glassman

2015-Lexus-NX-Turbo-2

2015 Lexus NX200t F Sport AWD Review By Ken Glassman Lexus is breaking ground by introducing their first compact SUV crossover, and by putting their first turbocharged engine in it. And with engine technology improving, and stricter gas mileage rules fast approaching, I’m sure we’ll see a lot more turbos in the Lexus lineup soon. Lexus is certainly no stranger to SUV’s. Their landmark RX mid-size is the best selling luxury vehicle in the country with over 100,000 units sold each year. Only time will tell if the NX 200 will be able to match that, and if it does, will it take some sales away from it larger brother? The engine is a 2-liter turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 16-valve inline-4, with an aluminum block and head, and with port and direct fuel injection. It pumps out 235 hp @ 5600 rpm, and makes 258 lb-ft of torque @ 1650 …

LEDetails – 2015 Lexus NX300h – Up Close with the Triple-Beam LED Lights

LEDetails - 2015 Lexus NX300h Triple LED Lights 68

Met up with another sexy black Lexus NX recently, and spent some time starting deep into its LED eyeballs! Just kidding. Nothing weird here. The Lexus style has just taken a huge leap with these ultra-cool triple LED headlamp style. It is stunning on the roads as an option on the new RC and NX, as well as the upcoming RX replacement. Here is a very close look at the lights in real life. The interplay between the actual light output and my Nikon’s sensors is fairly interesting. The Nikon goes dark when the Lexus lights are shining right into its sensors. As we see in the lamps, the outer and vertical portions of the L-shaped 3D lens are the low-beams, while the horizontal light blocks are the high-beams. Really beautiful. The final closing touches are LED fogs in the lower bumper and LED amber blinkers in the full length …

Road Test Review – 2015 Lincoln MKC Black Label 2.3L AWD

Road Test Review - 2015 Lincoln MKC Black Label 2

2015 Lincoln MKC Review – HD Drive Video   INTRO The 2015 Lincoln MKC is the brand’s biggest launch in more than five years: an all-new crossover to compete head to head with the Audi Q5, BMW x3 and Lexus NX. A huge overhaul versus any shared components underneath that might be shared with Ford, the MKC delivers an all-new design inside and out, technology that is available with no Blue Oval vehicle, and a potent 2.3-liter turbo engine that also finds its first home in this stylish crossover. Lincoln has thrown out all the old brand stigmas with this MKC in the chase for modern car shoppers that will be overwhelmingly new to the brand. With five seats and a generous luggage area, the MKC comes standard with pricing from around $34,000, with top-level Black Label trim selections available for those willing to shell out $50,000-plus for …

Road Test Review – 2015 Lexus NX200t F Sport Is Best New Crossover

2015 Lexus NX200t F Sport Review 8

2015 Lexus NX200t F Sport Review INTRO The all-new Lexus NX is one of the best-looking new crossovers in the segment, and we’ve been big fans of its edgy and cool design since it was first shown as a concept last year. As the sportiest F Sport turbo model arrived for a week-long test, the excitement was writ large across my face. The F Sport styling upgrade makes the NX feel like a year 2020 concept sketch. Its hypercar creases across the entire bodyside of the truck makes this the most advanced, futuristic SUV ever made — yet it is available today with pricing from $35,000!? Is the beauty of the NX more than skin-deep? Does it drive with BMW X3-beating poise on hard throttle, or does it fall to pieces at the sight of the first corner? Read on for the answer!  Standard headings of Exterior, Interior, Performance and …

2015 Lexus NX Colors, Trims and Cabin Visualizer + Prices for NX200t vs F Sport vs NX300h

f sport colors wheels

The 2015 Lexus NX is one of the most hotly-researched new crossovers. Its nationwide rollout is in full swing, with three models that all look extremely fresh, modern and premium. The performance of the NX200t, NX200t F Sport and NX300h Hybrid are all respectable, and AWD is available across the board for $1500 extra. Base prices start from just under $35,000 — which is great value for a vehicle that is larger than the BMW X3 inside. The NX is very, very close to the current RX in size, as the next-gen RX350 is expected to grow a bit and make room for a third row of seats. The builder is remarkably simple, despite around eight colors outside and five inside for all the trims. A few major options you will want? The Navigation package for about $2100 and the Premium package for $3000. What is in this Premium pack …
