2024 Hyundai Elantra Brings New Front Fascia & Technology To Compact Segment

The Hyundai Elantra has been a venerable entry for the Korean car giant with the compact four-door doing a good job of wearing many different hats including a full-on track attack weapon when equipped as a N badged model. However, Hyundai knows that change and evolution always go hand in hand and it has unveiled the 2024 Elantra which brings updates to areas where the model needed it the most.

A New Face Adds Freshness To Elantra

A prominent example of this change is the new front fascia that adorns the Elantra. Hyundai claims that the nose has “shark nosed styling.” Unlike the awkward looking fascia on the current generation model, the look here is bolder and it’s clear that the Elantra is trying to follow the trend of visual sharpness that we have seen in a few of its rivals.

Thinner LED headlights have also been added and some of the crispness seen in the nose has also trickled its way into the front fenders. The rear is mostly unchanged, but non N models now get a new silver trim piece on the rear diffuser. Meanwhile, the N variants get their own share of exterior tweaks and a new set of 19-inch forged alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 4S tires. Rounding out the changes are four new colors: Amazon Grey, Ultimate Red, Exotic Green and Ecotronic Gray.

Elantra Interior Doubles Down On Tech, Performance Is Unchanged

Performance for the 2024 Hyundai Elantra lineup is largely unchanged from the outgoing model which is fine with us since it allows the interior to have a larger slice of the attention. A new 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster is now available with SEL and above models getting Hyundai’s 10.25-inch infotainment system. New soft touch materials are used on the door panels while the wireless phone charging pad is redesigned. The Limited model gets H-Tex leather upholstery and joins the N-Line model in getting a new eight-speaker audio system.

The 2024 Elantra also transitions to a USB-C only layout for its charge ports with one in the front and two more in the rear. As for the N model, its major updates are focused on the finer details including new engine mounts, enhanced software to help control body motions and a urethane insulator for the rear suspension that replaces the old rubber one.

Hyundai didn’t reveal official pricing for the 2024 Elantra lineup, but confirmed that the model will go on sale this fall.
