Chevrolet Releases First Teaser Photo Of 2023 C8 Z06, Looks Ready To Hunt Ferraris

We have always wondered what it would look like if Chevrolet decided to go hunting for Ferraris with the 2023 Corvette ZO6, and thanks to a newly released photo of the 2023 Corvette ZO6, we have a look at the sharper and more ferocious member of the C8 Corvette family ahead of its October 23rd debut.

Core Vette Design Gets Beefed Up With ZO6 Add-Ons

When you compare the standard-issue Corvette with the new ZO6, you’ll see that GM’s changes to the car are not as extensive as some might have expected. The core design is still present and accounted for, but the front air intakes are entirely different, with the Z06 adopting bigger units that help channel more air to the car. The rear intakes also look more prominent, and the side profile itself appears to have benefitted from attempts at improving aerodynamics which would help the ZO6 perform better out on the track. This area of the car is also where the new Z06 badging will be, but the picture is zoomed out a bit, so we can’t quite see what the final script will look like.

The lone angle also obscures the rear of the car from view, but multiple sightings of prototypes suggest that the exhaust system will be reworked, and the trunk-mounted spoiler is a different piece versus what we have seen in past C8 models. It’s unknown if it’s the only spoiler option for the ZO6 when you consider that some ZO6 testers have been caught with multiple spoiler types that might appear as optional equipment. Oh, and we get to wait a bit longer to see the interior but look for the cabin to benefit from its suite of changes, including gripper seats and splashes of carbon fiber trim to drive home the track-ready theme.

When Will We See The 2023 Corvette ZO6?

If the prospect of owning a bow-tie badged supercar that can bring the heat to the world’s best sounds like an appealing addition to your garage? Chevrolet revealed that it will be formally debuting the car on October 23rd. Look for more teasers to emerge over the next few weeks, including more images of the interior, the engine, and perhaps additional images of the exterior. The 2023 ZO6 is rumored to be powered by a 5.5-liter flat-plane crank V8, but we have to wait for more information to emerge to learn about final horsepower and performance numbers.
