TechArt just launched its new bodywork, suspension, exhaust and cabin mods for the new 2017 911 Turbo and 2017 911 Carreras — and makes them more mouth-watering than ever!
The beauty of the TechArt programs for the 911 is that they are subtle, yet very convincing. Without the TechArt badges, the quality and integration into the original Porsche designs helps the parts disappear into the whole machine. This is in contrast to many of the very-obvious aftermarket upgrades out there.
The favorite among this group? Has to be the bright blue C2S.
This TechArt stunner has the curb appeal to stop any Porsche-phile in his tracks. An adjustable nose splitter, deep side sills, roof spoiler and a choice of two rear wings round out the major mods. But detail tweaks abound too: the front hood vent, the reshaped lower tail vents, wheel and springs swap for stance, and of course new uad pipes in back.
These remote-operated exhausts promise a bellow to rival any air-cooled predecessor — but able to be silenced at the touch of a button for when slinking home late at night.
A 10-minute power module install can be done by any DIY person. The module plugs into the OEM OBDII port to free 40Hp in the C2’s and 60HP in the 911 Turbo S. This is just the starting point, of course, and grows power even more with new exhausts, downpipe and turbo intake solutions.
TechArt’s nose-lift system (to raise the front end of the car for steep driveways or speedbumps) has been adopted by Porsche proper since TechArt created it. But many people do not have the option selected. Therefore, TechArt is happy to retro-fit it onto these 2017 models. It is a smart piece of the package: we recommend it to keep those deep bumpers intact over years of city driving.
