2025 Cadillac CT5 Refresh Debuts New Tech and Styling, Builds On Impressive Sales Performance

Cadillac may be preparing to enter an era where electrification and utility vehicles will play prominent roles in its long-term future. However, the brand is still paying attention to its sedan lineup. The 2025 Cadillac CT5 has been doing well in sales, and the brand has decided to refresh it for the new model year that aims to build on this performance while also giving it new vigor in its fight against rivals from BMW and Audi.

Refresh Brings Bolder Styling and Sportiness To CT5

Cadillac is currently focusing on the standard CT5 lineup with today’s announcement, and as a result, we get to wait to hear more about the V-Series and Blackwing variants of the car. Cadillac also didn’t confirm whether this refresh will help solidify the CT5’s target segment, with the outgoing model often being considered an entry that straddles the line between rivals like the BMW 5-Series and the smaller BMW 3-Series.

That aside, the 2025 CT5 gets a new front fascia with a more prominent front grille that’s now mounted lower than before, while stacked LED headlights and reworked vertical LED running lights revamp the CT5’s nighttime presentation. Buyers that go for the CT5 Sport get blacked-out accents, including darkened alloy wheels. The rear of the car may look essentially unchanged, but Cadilac claims that it enhanced the operation and brightness of the lights themselves. Several new paint colors are also making their debut on the 2025 CT5, including Typhoon Metallic and Deep Space Metallic.

CT5 Gets LED Touchscreen, Google Tech

Slip inside the 2025 Cadillac CT5, and you’l quickly notice the new 33-inch LED screen. Residing in a curved display that’s shared with the digital instrument cluster, Cadillac claims that the massive screen allows the CT5 to be more driver-oriented than ever before. The 9K resolution on hand allows various menus to be crisply presented, and the screen also comes with Google’s Built-In technology. We have seen a few other vehicles debut this system over the past few years, and in the CT5, owners get access to many of the same core apps, including Google Assistant, Google Play, and Google Maps. When all of these apps are in place, they not only allow owners to listen to podcasts and real-time traffic updates but also hands-free communication too.

Amazon Alexa is also built into the system, and this particular piece of software allows the car to control Amazon-linked devices, including the lights in your home and even other household items. Super Cruise is newly optional on the CT5, and the sleek four-door will also debut several new pieces of safety technology. Performance hardware is unchanged from the outgoing 2023 model, with the base CT5 being powered by a 237-hp 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Buyers looking for more power can go for the optional 335-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, and rear-wheel drive is standard. All-wheel drive will remain optional, and both engines will be mated to a 10-speed automatic.

When Can I Buy One?

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 is scheduled to go into production later this year at the Lansing Grand River Assembly plant in Michigan. Cadillac also didn’t release final pricing information for the 2025 CT5, but look for that information to be revealed closer to its official launch. In the meantime, Cadillac is expecting the CT5 to perform well in sales with the outgoing model actually bucking the trend of sales declines within the broader sedan segment and actually increasing in sales especially among younger buyers.
