Cadillac Adds Glamour And Screen Size To 2024 XT4, Coming To Dealerships This Summer

GM is in the process of rapidly updating their lineup of sub-compact CUV entries. With the Chevrolet TrailBlazer and the Buick Encore GX recently going under the knife for their updates. GM has now revealed the updates for the 2024 Cadillac XT4 which adds some polish to the XT4’s lines while also adding a revamped infotainment system.

Lyriq Inspired Screen Adds Tech To XT4’s Game, Exterior Gets Light Touch Up.

The bulk of the updates that Cadillac did are found inside the XT4 with the analog gauges and the bulk of the buttons being replaced with an all-new 33-inch LED screen. Cadillac says that the screen is inspired by the one in the Lyriq EV and it has 9K image quality. The screen stretches from one end of the dashboard to the other and not only incorporates the digital instrument cluster but also the infotainment system. Unlike the Lyriq, The XT4’s screen is curved towards the driver for improved visibility and usability. This system also comes with Google built-in technology that allows owners to use multiple Google themed features with voice or touch commands.

The screen also highlights other changes that the XT4 received for 2024 with new interior colors and trims adding more ambiance to the XT4. Other than the screen, the rest of the interior is largely carried over from the outgoing model with the controls below the LED screen, the shifter, and the auxiliary control knob for the infotainment system being carried over unchanged.  The exterior styling also receives a number of updates with the bulk of them focusing on the front. The front grille has been lightly tweaked and corresponds with reworked LED running lights that are now mounted vertically as close to the corners as possible while the LED headlights have been relocated to the front vents. The rear fascia sees the least changes but new taillight lenses and repositioned reflectors are added to keep things fresh.

Performance hardware is also unchanged with all XT4 models being powered by the carryover 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder that still makes 237 hp and is mated to a nine-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive continues to be the default layout but buyers in snowier climates can go for the optional all-wheel drive system. The MCE as a whole is more of an evolution versus being an outright rethink but that’s fine with us since Cadillac didn’t want to rock the boat too much with potential buyers.

When Can I Buy One?

GM and Cadillac didn’t reveal pricing for the 2024 XT4 (a theme shared with the TrailBlazer and the Encore GX) but did confirm that the model will be making its way to dealerships this summer. Buyers will be able to choose from three trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport.
