Future SUV Rendering – 2016 GMC Denali VIP Concept – Black Trim, Wheels + Extra LED Lighting

If you read the glowing review of the 2015 GMC Yukon Denali this morning, you know we are big fans of this big truck.

It is everything the Tahoe has, and almost everything the Escalade brings to the table — but with extra under-the-radar coolness as standard.

The Escalade is a pop-culture phenom at this point – which is great news for resurgent Cadillac. But the Escalade being the ride of choice for young Hollywood does not universally enhance its appeal. What about those seeking ultimate style without the Cadillac badge? Is the Denali the price ceiling for GMC? Our hunch is that the answer is “No.” If you build it, they will come…

So what car for these real VIPs?

Or people who are just really serious about the VIP style movement? What of these humble yakusa?

VIP style is best known for those crazy wheels and lowering packages on many Japanese limousines – but applies more universally than these hardcore examples, however.

The lowered and darkened styles shown here are simply digital renderings of what *could* be – either on an aftermarket basis for your new 2015 Denali, or perhaps as a factory release some time in the future.

Let’s walk through the upgrades in three segments: Nose, Profile, and Tail.

2016 GMC Denali VIP Concept Rendering – NOSE

Here, the most critical changes surround the grille dechroming, and darkening the foglamp shrouds as well. A few options shown below, including:

  • some with a black chrome grille,

  • some with just a brightwork piece in the grille surround

  • and the final product with a lowered suspension and darkened everything – including headlamps tinted a bit darker than stock.

HOW DARK SHOULD GRILLE BE?

2016 GMC Denali VIP Concept Rendering – PROFILE

Again, the most critical thing for max visual impact are dark wheels and tinted windows. The Denali is already limo-dark in the rear glass, so just the front passenger windows are darkened.

  • We also removed the roof rack completely.

  • And finally, the end result with a lowered suspension stance.

2016 GMC Denali VIP Concept Rendering – TAIL

The tail. How to clean up the already-minimal tail? We added a deeper black-out section of the rear glass,

  • de-badged the truck completely in back

  • black chromed the license plate shroud

  • eliminated the factory CHMSL brake like

  • and added an LED brake light bar across the tailgate – connecting the horse-shoe shaped LED brake light elements on either side.
