The new 911 Targa 4 and Targa 4S are fantastic additions to the already-stellar 911 sports car line.

Why is this one so little? Keep reading… =]

The base 911 Carrera2 is so good that it would be my choice in a heartbeat over any Cayman — even the Cayman R.

But adding the drama and unique appeal of a power-retractable top section? Delicious and very tempting.

Seeing it in the flesh only confirmed this intense 911 Targa longing!

So where is one of my snazzy animations? I was rushing taking the photos in general, and without tripod.

As a result, the Porsche website screenshots (from previous article) are easier on the eyes.

Mine turned out choppier than the North Atlantic and would take ages to get as flawless as the 3D modeling shows.

I was not going to include my standard animation styles due to their dizziness-factor from slight camera movements while taking rapid-sequence images (without the proper Nikon DSLR settings engaged) — but here ya go. just for fun. Avoid staring too long…

Oh wait! Hazaa! White-flash frames smooth out some of the rough edges and camera movement while I snapped these photos.

But there is a catch: the ones from my Nikon are ginormous files. 15MB and 11MB each, respectively. So best avoided on the frontpage and mobile browsers…!

The real challenge is in how fast Targa conversion the process is. I did not time it, but ballpark about 18 seconds up or down once the top starts moving.
