]We will not see the Audi S1 here in the states for the current generation of models, but there is still something really delightful about the cars. The latest news is the reveal of a five-door version of this speedy and highly pivotal cutie.

The green is my new favorite car color, and something we hope to see crossing the Big Blue sometime soon on the enormous current American Audi line-up. BMW recently hit 98 total models in the United States, and Audi is revealing new cars at almost a more breakneck pace.

So yes, we might be green with envy over this European model, but overall, we are well-taken-care-of for rapid Audi models.

So why recall the Pikes Peak Sport Quattro, which also appears a bit cartoonishly-short versus the original Audi Quattro rally cars? They share the uncanny ability to turn hard and fast, on power, without losing an inch of grip.

Pikes Peak, as you may know, has perhaps 600 corners between the altitude zones of 8,000 up to its crest just above 14,000 feet. These are not sweepers, either, but saw-your-arms-off hairpins nearly every 200 meters.
