Behind this behavior lies the same factor that has been guiding the market for weeks: the war in Iran and its impact on global oil supply. The Strait of Hormuz remains the most sensitive point, and although the situation has partially stabilized, the Brent crude barrel remains at high levels, keeping fuel prices at the pumps under strain.

Regarding the price of gasoline, bad news: the cost of Unleaded 95 rises to €1.568/l (an increase of 0.4 euro cents per liter). Meanwhile, Unleaded 98 also climbs, reaching €1.711/l (an increase of 0.3 euro cents per liter).
For diesel vehicles, the news is not encouraging either: Diesel A costs rises to €1.887/l (an increase of €0.038 per liter). As for the higher grade, Diesel A+ increases today; its average price stands at €1.979/l (an increase of €0.035 per liter).

It is worth noting that the average prices in the table refer to the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, although as is often the case, fuel prices also vary between service stations. The difference between refueling at an expensive gas station and a cheap one can exceed €0.15 per liter.
It is important to bear in mind that the final price paid at the pump remains strongly influenced by the tax burden. In addition to fixed taxes (€0.472/l for gasoline and €0.379/l for diesel), there is currently a reduced VAT of 10%, an extraordinary measure extended by the Government to cushion the price surge arising from the current conflict in Iran.
