Introducing Novitec SPOFEC for the Rolls-Royce Ghost: More Style and Power + Lower Ride and Dual-Mode Exhaust!

SPOFEC!?

That is short for SPirit OF ECstacy. Get it? It is like a super-acronym.

Using a similar strategy of unique branding by marque, the Novitec Group is rolling out hits left and right these days. Just a few weeks since the debut of the Novitec Torado (Lamborghini) and Novitec Tridente (Maserati) specials, here we have a SPOFEC Ghost that has everything hip buyers might want.

This includes 22-inch wheels, a new controller module for the air-ride suspension to lower the car at speed or on demand, a dual-model exhaust to hear the V12 sing, an aero upgrade kit and a power jump to 709-horsepower.

These SPOFEC upgrades are delightful because of how formal Rolls-Royce typically makes its cars from the factory. These additions are absolutely perfect, and we are eager to see what the SPOFEC team does for the Wraith!

HOW TO BUY?

Many of the Spofec upgrades are plug and play — such as the suspension module or the engine module and the four styles of wheel. Others, like the styling and exhaust tweaks or the brake upgrade, will require a professional installation. SPOFEC can work with global buyers to find an installation location that is nearby, and ship the parts their directly or arrange for the upgrades to be made on your behalf.

Check out the catalog highlights below, and cruise over to the link for all the details!

SPOFEC Rolls-Royce Ghost

N E W S  R E L E A S E

SPOFEC refines Rolls-Royce motor cars:

The Rolls-Royce Ghost with a sporty-elegant aerodynamic-enhancement program, 22-inch alloy wheels, and up to  521 kW / 709 hp

NOVITEC GROUP’s various brands refine the world’s most exclusive motor cars. In SPOFEC GmbH, the German company now presents a new division that deals exclusively with the customization of Rolls-Royce vehicles and satisfies even the most discriminating demands on aesthetics and technology for this clientele as well. SPOFEC is an acronym of the name of the hood ornament, the Spirit of Ecstasy.

The first SPOFEC creation is a refined version of the Rolls-Royce Ghost. The body is upgraded visually with a combination of sporty-elegant aerodynamic-enhancement components and 22-inch alloy wheels.

The luxury sedan’s driving dynamics are further optimized with a carbon-ceramic high-performance braking system and a revised suspension. State-of-the-art engine tuning by SPOFEC boosts power output of the 6.6-liter 12-cylinder engine to up to 521 kW / 709 hp and peak torque to 978 Nm.

The designers of NOVITEC GROUP are world-renowned for visually refining luxury motor cars in equally tasteful and aerodynamically efficient fashion. The SPOFEC product range for the Rolls-Royce Ghost continues this tradition logically. All new design components are manufactured from carbon fiber.

The SPOFEC front bumper, which replaces the production part in its entirety, lends the sedan an even more distinctive face. Its sophisticated shape reduces negative lift on the front axle at high speeds.

The SPOFEC rocker panels are available for models with short and with long wheelbase. These components are likewise made from carbon fiber and lend the British four-door car an even more elongated appearance.

The SPOFEC rear bumper and the spoiler lip on the trunk lend the rear of the car some added profile. Especially the version of this aerodynamic-enhancement component with a clear-coated carbon-fiber finish adds a markedly sporty highlight.

Tailor-made SPOFEC alloy wheels are the perfect complement to the exterior design package. They are available for the various Rolls-Royce models. Dimensionally offset spokes lend the SPOFEC SP1 wheels an extraordinary styling. In particular the version combining a black paint finish with polished surfaces thereby creates an especially unique look. Alternatively these rims are also available with a silver, matte black or titanium finish. Mounted with tires of sizes 265/35 ZR 22 and 295/30 ZR 22, the wheels in sizes 9Jx22 at the front and 10.5Jx22 on the rear axle make full use of the available space below the wheel arches. Technology partner Pirelli supplies the ideal high-performance tires. Like all SPOFEC components, this tire/wheel combination offers certified safety.

The SPOFEC suspension module is calibrated specifically to this wheel option. It intervenes in the control of the air suspension of the Ghost, and lowers the ride height by about 40 millimeters at speeds below 140 km/h. At higher speeds the body automatically reverts to its original level.

Another custom development is the SPOFEC carbon-ceramic high-performance braking system with vented discs measuring 405 x 30 and 395 x 38 millimeters. These high-tech components optimize the stopping power. What’s more: by saving a total of 38 kilograms in weight compared with the production brakes they also reduce unsprung mass, thereby further optimizing handling.

These sophisticated modifications also make the Rolls-Royce Ghost perfectly suited for more power. SPOFEC unleashes the inherent reserves of the 6.6-liter V12 Biturbo engine with two versions of its N-TRONIC performance kits. The processor-controlled plug-and-play module is integrated into the engine electronics and increases the engine’s power output with new mapping for injection and ignition as well as with a moderate rise in boost pressure.

With the SPOFEC N-TRONIC upgrade, power output of the Ghost models with 420 kW / 570 hp ex-factory jumps to 504 kW / 685 hp at a low 5,400 rpm. Peak torque increases from 780 Nm to 958 Nm.

The optional V-SPEC engine with an ex-factory power output of 442 kW / 601 hp can also be equipped with a SPOFEC N-TRONIC performance kit. This results in an increase in power output by 79 kW / 108 hp over the base engine. With 521 kW / 709 hp and 978 Nm of torque the refined luxury sedan sprints from 0 – 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. The top speed remains electronically limited to 250 km/h.

However, the SPOFEC performance kits were developed not only for increased performance, but above all for even more superb power delivery of the 12-cylinder engine on the road. In conjunction with the eight-speed automatic transmission the tremendous torque delivers an even more superior driving experience with unchanged exemplary eco-friendliness.

Performance optimization through minimizing exhaust back pressure, a sporty yet never obtrusive V12 exhaust note and weight savings of up to five kilograms are the distinguishing features of the SPOFEC stainless-steel sports exhausts for the Rolls-Royce Ghost. The version with controlled butterfly valve offers the option of adjusting the exhaust note between markedly subtle and powerfully throaty by remote control from the cockpit.
