Motorcycles And Accesibility Highlight 2020 Cleveland IMS Progressive Motorcycle Show

Ever wondered what it would be like to ride a motorcycle? To have the feeling of the wind truly flowing through your hair? While the wind was a bit too cold for formal motorcycle riding, we did the next best thing, and took a detour to Cleveland, Ohio recently to check out the 2020 Progressive International Motorcycle Show. Part of the broader International Motor Cycle Shows series, these shows are designed to not only appeal to long running motorcycle riders, but also new riders looking to enter the world of two wheeling for the first time. 2017 OKUYAMA Kode 0 – Tech Specs + World Premiere at The Quail

Here is a true dreamcar if there ever was one.  A modern expression of the Gandini wedge design ethos that ruled the supercar world for decades. But leaner, cleaner and more functional under Okuyama’s pen. This machine is ostensibly a one-off created by Ken Okuyama Cars, but a micro-batch of customer cars are possible with style like a Stratos Zero or Ferraro Modulo! It is a masterpiece of linearity.  But with nice overlapping layers that give depth to the front bumper, lower windowline and multi-material tail.  Part of this square rump is notably decorated with chrome brightwork, while the edges …

Aston Martin V12 Zagato White No Zero 2

RM Paris 2017 Highlight – 2012 Aston Martin V12 ZAGATO “No Zero”

What car from 2012 would we kill to own!? THIS ONE! Beautifully unique versus every other Aston Martin.  And finished exquisitely as one of the 65 total, handmade units that came out of the Aston/Zagato partnership. This “No Zero” example shows no mercy in its finishes and execution.  Custom badges for the number zero special and a butterfly-wing badge accent are notable special items Aston did for this owner.  This motif is gorgeous and harks back to the original Aston logos of the 1920s.  [The wings are peeling a pit, unfort.] The bright carrara white paintwork over gloss black for …

2016 Faraday Future FFZERO1 Concept Throws Down Gauntlet – Now or Never, Laggards

Well, this is it!  Nearly 24 hours after the leaks began, and a full 12 since the press conference in Vegas last night, the Faraday Future concept car for CES is now in clear focus. Before you get too excited about a full reveal — with the normal specs, pricing and a production roadmap —it is best to temper expectations. This fantasy concept from Faraday Future is not headed for the road. Nor is it really headed for any race series. But racetracks? That is another story.  The quad-motor, AWD EV promises 1000+ horsepower and a 200-mph-plus top speed.  The electric motors are …

2015 Nissan GT-R in Imperial Japanese Army Zero WarPaint 5

Houston Tuner Highlights – 2015 Nissan GT-R in Imperial Japanese Zero War-Paint

This one is tongue-in-cheek. The Zero livery plays off the Japanese fighter planes of WWII with dark jungle camo and orange aviation-themed tints for the LED accents. In a state as fiercely independent and patriotic as Texas, this nod to Japanese military strength is the ultimate honor for the GT-R — a giant-killer of a supercar if there ever was one. 2015 Nissan GT-R in Imperial Japanese Army Zero WarPaint

2008 Dodge ZEO

Concept Flashback – 2008 Dodge ZEO Was EV Tesla-Fighter

The 2008 Dodge ZEO was conceived in a world of $150-per-barrel oil in 2006 and 2007, when the full electrification of the car seemed inevitable. The freedom to run a flat-pack of Li-Ion batteries in the floor of the vehicle offered Dodge a chance to break out of typical packaging constraints. We see some great elements in the ZEO, including its finished four-seat cabin and spectacular doors. But the design is a bit busier than the Dodge ideal, especially around the nose. Lack of air intakes means the ZEO and its crossbar grille just seem a bit scrunched and silly …
