Maserati Introduces GranTurismo PrimaSerie Limited Edition Model To North America Only 50 To Be Produced

Maserati is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the GranTurismo, and to help ring in the celebrations with a bang, the Italian luxury car maker is introducing the all-new 2024 Maserati GranTurismo PrimaSerie to U.S. shores with the model helping to spearhead the GranTurismo’s U.S. sales launch.

GranTurismo PrimaSerie Is Rolling Tribute To The Past

When one looks at the all-new GranTurismo, it becomes clear that Maserati is out to reshape how its fanbase thinks about luxury. The crisp styling, as well as the strong emphasis on curves and lines, drives home the point that the GranTurismo is aiming to claw back ground in the lucrative GT market. As for the PrimaSerie, it uses this solid foundation and builds on it by using traits and cues from Maserati’s racing heritage, with the model featuring Corse Red accents that compliment the model-exclusive Grigio Lamiera Matte hue. Maserati engineers also splashed carbon fiber accents on select portions of the car to help make things pop even more visually.

The model is also based on the Trofeo variant, with this trim bringing heavily bolstered leather sport seats as well as herringbone-style motifs for the dashboard and the aforementioned thrones. Red accents also make their presence known in the car too, with 75th-anniversary logos prominently featured on the headrests as well as a white/grey two-tone theme for the cabin. Otherwise, the model leaves many of the GranTurismo’s core essentials alone, including the revamped infotainment system.

Trofeo Punches Ticket For Turbocharged Power

Another perk of the Trofeo trim is that it allows owners to access the GranTurismo’s full potential, with all PrimaSerie models being powered by the 542-horsepower, 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V-6. An eight-speed automatic will continue to be the lone transmission available, and performance figures are a mirror image of its standard Trofeo badged sibling.

“The all-new GranTurismo is a revolutionized version of our brand icon and perfectly encapsulates the core pillars of performance, comfort, and timeless design,” said Bill Peffer, CEO of Maserati Americas. “The PrimaSerie 75th Anniversary Launch Edition pays homage to a storied collection of celebrated Maserati models – together with the Modena, Trofeo, and Folgore trims, GranTurismo will open new doors for Maserati in North America.”

Buyers looking to add one to their fleet will need to act quickly. Maserati revealed that it will only send 50 units to North America though they didn’t reveal how the 50 vehicles in question would be allocated between the U.S. and Canada. Pricing information was also not released either, but look for these models to begin arriving in Maserati showrooms this summer.
