Nissan NC2020 Vision Gran Turismo Debuts New Nose, Color and Wheels

The NC2020 will star at Nissan’s packed exhibit for the Tokyo Auto Show starting in late October — with a few all-new details to captivate showgoers. An all-new satin red finish is the clearest change from the original Goodwood concept in its smokey silver. This shade is called Fire Knight and is a deeper and more sinister shade than the Nissan LMP1 in its GT-R race red. Other tweaks versus the first outing for the NC2020? Dark wheels with a sharper blade look to its five spokes, plus a cleaned-up nose with more sculptural and prominent V-motion grille bar. This …

Green/Green/Green 2014 McLaren P1 Proves The Golden Rule at Pebble Beach

The golden rule being: he who has the gold makes the rules! This P1 is certainly one of the most outrageous hypercars of 2014 – customized by McLaren Special Operations to have a green tint to every surface, even the exposed carbon-fiber sections and all over the cabin, of course. It is quite polarizing, which is a polite way of saying many people absolutely hated it. But some really loved it as well. In my opinion, the wheels are a trouble area. Flip those to white or dark grey/black — and this car might have the naysayers begging for a …

Update1 – Nissan NC2020 Vision Gran Turismo Makes Real-Life Debut at Goodwood FoS

I stand corrected!  Below are 20 high-res photos from Nissan at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. They are tagged “Goodwood’s Got Game” – and I am inclined to agree =]   Many of the cars that debuted at Goodwood are strangely unavailable from the manufacturers’ websites – as though a digital launch is enough and everyone can just keep selling Jukes when the NC2020 is around! Luckily for NC2020 or NSX fans, Facebook is a constantly-updating entity. Here are 71 new photos of the NC2020 via Gran Turismo.com and Nissan UK’s facebook page. They are not great quality, but there …

Concept Flashback – 2000 Ferrari Rossa Concept Speedster Influences Corvette, NC2020 and F12 TRS

The year 2000 Ferrari Rossa concept is a perfect example of some trendy ideas aging poorly, and other genius ideas finally coming of age nearly 15 years later. The overall shape of the Rossa concept and its surfacing instantly date the machine, sure. It is too blob-like and too bubbly in every form angle to be competitive today. But there are a few items that are looking mighty up-to-date, even today in 2014: — the speedster windshield: still a huge fan of this style, and Ferrari fans are too. The 2014 F12 TRS uses a free-form top part of the …

2014 Nissan NC2020 Vision Gran Turismo in Nine New Colors

2014 Nissan NC2020 Vision Gran Turismo in Nine New Colors When I am nervous about something or procrastinating at my desk, Photoshop always seems like a good idea. This is not a full article, or even a full set of renderings. But it is not easy to do these, and it is taking more time than anticipated. =] ABOUT THE NC2020 I love the NC2020 concept’s design the more I review its intricacies – of which there are many. Here are nine other colors in the rear three-quarter angle.

2014 Nissan GT1 Concept Details Revealed – NC2020 Vision Gran Turismo

2014 Nissan GT1 Concept Details Revealed – NC2020 Vision Gran Turismo Update1 – June 16, 2014 The details are out! But they are not complete yet – no specs accompany this brief. Stay tuned. Last week’s teaser image created quite a media buzz, with everyone speculating left and right about this machine as ‘the next GT-R’ in headlines. It is tempting to do! These ideas are seriously fresh, and these three more high-res angles confirm it is a front-midship design. That was not certain from the front three-quarter teaser last week. DESIGN BRIEF Low-drag but high-downforce. The design is so aero-focused …

Nissan and GranTurismo Evolution Detailed – 150+ Nissans Drive-able in GT6

Did you see the teaser photo Nissan just released of the NC2020 GT1?! I will include it here… due to the huge excitement I feel at this moment! You are surely wondering: is this the next GT-R? The answer is likely a “No, but….” No, this Vision GT6 concept is not the real thing coming as the R36 generation of the legendary GT-R Nissan. But it will influence the real thing – particularly with what looks like some kind of e-Boost or hybrid technology in the powertrain package. We are just speculating based on the appearance of the wheels in …

2014 Nissan GT1 Vision GranTurismo Concept? Mysterious Teaser Shows Hypercar Proto

Nissan GT1 Vision GranTurismo What is this high-performance creature!? I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this photo on Nissan’s press site today. The car could be dubbed the GT1 or perhaps the NC2020 — short for Nissan Concept 2020, we imagine. Nothing is certain. The only word is that Nissan will tell us more next Monday, June 16th. Our hunch is that this might be the next installment of the Vision GranTurismo concept car series – liket he VW Vision GTI Roadster and dozens of other custom machines made for GT6 drivers. This would make sense …
