2021 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Concept Lawn Overdose 300 photos

The concept lawn. What a concept. It’s the nucleus around which the entire Monterey Car Week orbits. It anchors the past, present and future of automobiles in the chosen few cars set on this practice putting green. All of these cars are or have touch-points that reach back for inspiration, and build upon beautiful and sometimes radical visions of the future. One such radical future-think was the Audi Skysphere. It was conceived to extend or contract a foot in length. Project Sandbox is the perfect example of all worlds colliding. Part 911/959, part rally car. The key to doing the …

Insider: From One Generation of Drivers to the Next

You remember your younger days, where you were just so excited to start driving. You’d be walking around, perhaps driving around with your parents, and calculating how many years and days you had left until it would finally be you behind the wheel. The idea of it just seemed to cool and appealing, and it definitely wasn’t all it lived up to be. When you think about driving, you think about road trips with friends, fast cars, smooth drives, and just an easy driving life. But the harsh reality of it is, you spend most of your time running to …

HyperGallery – 2017 KOENIGSEGG Regera in 33 New Photos

Koenigsegg is rolling deeeeep lately!  Showing up to Geneva auto show with nearly a half-dozen exotics is mighty impressive.  And we hope it means their new lightning-fast Regera flagship is selling brisky! Two examples here, with both an exposed-weave carbon fiber, tinted and glossed to perfection in red/black and green.  The red Regera has chrome-red paintwork to contrast the carbon up the middle. All Koenigsegg’s are targa tops — two cars in one! — and the look is distinct with top up or off.  Off, this is a brutally rounded/chopped speedster.  Top on, and this becomes clearly a 300MPH aero …

2.5s 1500HP 2017 Koenigsegg REGERA – Production-Spec Hypercar KING!

The 2017 Regera has been made real from concept form last year, with over 3000 changes and a seriously advanced new design, tech package and hyperspeed PHEV drivetrain. Putting out some SERIOUS wattage, by the way. Or  actually, kilo-watts!  525kW is the output of a worlds-first 800-volt electric drive system. All this in addition to the monstrous V8, of course. …

2016 Koenigsegg REGERA – Rendered Colorizer in 100 Images from 2 Angles

These colorizers are pretty hard work. It is very tricky to accomplish a new car color with anything near photo-real results. Plus, every image requires some unique steps and fiddling. But we are thrilled to present the results here: the incredible new Koenigsegg Regera in 100 never-before-seen colors. As we suspected, the mellow silver/blue of the show car is one of its weak points. As you can see in these eye-popping shades, there is a stunning design under there. Enjoy the below visuals. Everything from Dubai-style flashes of yellow to London greys and St. Tropez tans help the new Regera …

Geneva 2015 Galleries – The Scandinavians – VOLVO, Koenigsegg and ZENVO

PART FIVE   Here is why we are revisiting this mega-show: there are 400 photos in our Geneva 2015 file folder that have not been published yet. Some of the cars are cool, some are curious, and some are normal economy hatchbacks. A dozen of the big reveals are in individual articles — viewable at the Geneva category page over here. But for whatever reason, these fine machines did not make it into solo posts. Not fair, right? All photos deserve to see the light of day! The cars could use some sun, too. 2016 Koenigsegg REGERA Is All-New With 700HP E-Boost Atop 1100HP V8TT

Welcome to the next generation of Koenigsegg hypercars!  Arguably one of the most exciting reveals at Geneva today, the Regera is a very exciting next step for the Swedish lightning of hypercars. Starting with the design: the Regera is a fantastically modern and ultra-smooth expression of hypercar proportions. Looking every bit as new and dramatic as the Porsche 918, LaFerrari and McLaren P1 — the Regera is really the first major change in the Koenigsegg style since the CC8 launched in 2002. This brings an all-new nose with far more flowing shapes, a tighter and lower windshield that still allows …

This comes from a race-ready splitter and active aero front and rear. The new rear wing is one of the most beautiful on any car of all time – with two gorgeous flying buttresses straking back …

Fifth Gear’s Tiff Needell Presents – Volvo FH Truck vs Koenigsegg One 1

The tame racing driver — who not only drives, but talks us through it!? Tiff Needell of Fifth Gear is a legend in the world of automotive-review television programs. We are smiling watching him race Volvo Trucks new FH versus the Koenigsegg One:1 around a racetrack at full speed. The purpose of the video? To show Volvo’s new i-Shift dual-clutch automatic transmission. This is a revolution in the world of heavy trucks, which are almost all still manual-shifted these days. 18 gears, each with a low and high range means a huge amount of clutching and shifting has always been …

2014 PAGANI Huayra Carbon Edition in 200 Amazing Photos

How is Pagani’s sales team performing in the face of the all-new P1 and LaFerrari? So well!  They are in heaven right now after the US import process finally approved the Huayra after about four years of effort — and more than one real-life crash test. Wrecking a million dollars on purpose!? The US market really is worth it for Pagani — and we are thrilled to have them. Pagani’s huge rise to greatness has avoided the key pitfall of many hypercar brands: unsustainable growth. Luckily, the hand-crafted carbon-fiber chassis and bodywork of the Huayra makes any kind of volume …

2015 Hennessey Venom GT – Worlds Fastest Edition in 69 All-New Photos From The Quail

The Venom GT is a major success story that keeps building momentum with every aerodynamic tweak and trip to the Kennedy Space Center. If JFK were a Vbox-reading racing driver in 2014, he would certainly approve. This white example is tipped to be the one-off World’s Fastest Edition built to celebrate the record run seen in the below video. It is only the ~14th Venom GT ever made. In fact, Hennessey may have created the first — and perhaps only — great American Hypercar. If not the first American hypercar ever, this is certainly the best there has ever …

2014 ZENVO ST1 Colorizer Shows Potential of Crisp, Lean and Aggressive Design in 40 Colors

2014 ZENVO ST1 Colorizer Shows Potential of Crisp, Lean and Aggressive Design in 40 Colors We’re huge fans of the ZENVO ST1 here at Car-Revs-Daily. The ST1’s design is amazing – clean and pure but quite aggressive and obviously exotic from all angles. With pricing at or above a million dollars, the ZENVO team is of course open to custom orders. With that in mind, we took to Photoshop to imagine the ST1 in some classic and ultra-modern hypercar colors. It really looks outstanding in all the yellows and a few of the neon greens. 2014 ZENVO ST1 Colorizer   …

2.9s, 233MPH 2014 ZENVO ST1 Lands in USA With Stunning Design and Huge Power

One of the most desirable and shockingly raw hypercars of 2014? Definitely the Zenvo ST1 – with its huge mid-mounted V8 both turbocharged and supercharged to deliver 650-horsepower in Wet settings, 850-HP in Sport and the full 1104 horsepower in the Race settings. All to just the back wheels. No hybrid power assistance like the big 3 hypercars of this year – just raw adrenaline through a seven-speed paddle-shift automatic. Out back traction is managed by racing-wide tires and a locking Torsen limited-slip-differential. This is a car for people tired of the washed-out and watered-down class of hybrid hypercar. People …

1350HP SSC Tuatara Delayed As Company Goes Radio-Silent

The SSC Tuatara is gorgeous and inspiring to behold – even from afar – as the epitome of lurid hypercar vision made real. The Tuatara packs all the right swoops, wings and curves to make the company into something big. Something to add sex appeal to the fast/ugly Ultimate Aero XT. As it stands, the Ultimate Aero XT is the only model offered for sale by SSC to date, and has been the drivetrain testing mule for the Tuatara.     The hypercar business is extremely difficult, however, and takes the typical startup odds of failure and jacks the pressure …

The Venom GT is a major success story that keeps building momentum with every aerodynamic tweak and trip to the Kennedy Space Center! This video below is pretty awesome. Great intro via a  great JFK speech, HPE! Pretty outstanding results, too =] The latest WFE reached the long-held ideal of one kilogram of weight per horsepower, with both totaling 1244 thanks to the latest tweaks to the Hennessey twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The Hennessey team notes that not only is the Venom GT now the world’s fastest car, it is also the quickest. A 2.7-second sprint to 60-mph only increases in …

2014 PAGANI Huayra Carbon Edition + 200 Amazing Photos

Pagani’s huge rise to greatness has avoided the key pitfall of many hypercar brands: unsustainable growth. Luckily, the hand-crafted carbon-fiber chassis and bodywork of the Huayra makes any kind of volume production a distant, distant daydream. Not only does Pagani lay and autoclave each piece itself from the fabric forward; nearly every metal component is also machined (on site, from billet alloy blocks) one-by-one as well. Koenigsegg One:1 Still Vmax King, But Under Threat by Huayra, Venom GT, McLaren P1 and LaFerrari

When it comes to hypercars, buyers have a variety of distinct priorities for their new baby. But are there any universal qualities a hypercar must embody? Yes, I’m glad you asked. A handful of these are below: — extremely violent speed and track pace — exclusivity and image — curb appeal — sex appeal — daily drive-ability via street-legal emissions and safety — performance kudos and/or racing pedigree The Koenigsegg Agera s and Agera R …
