McLaren Turbo – Secrets of Black Air – 1987 Buick GNX Story

Let’s start at the beginning, my personal vantage on the Buick GNX – before and after watching Black Air: The Buick Grand National Story. Here are three things you may not know about the 1987 Buick Grand National: Engine came first, car second. What sporty body could fit this 500HP boost-monster? Housing the huge McLaren turbocharger and intercooler hardware of the 3.8-liter V6 was the hardest part. It was a very sentimental project for the company, allowing unbridled execution of the super-car engine and total styling black-out. That high-gloss, rich paint was pure fantasy at the time. The GNX was the …

Video: Carrara White Rolls-Royce Wraith in Action

Worth recalling is that Wraith is *scary* fast, with only a soft woof and gurgle from up front to warn you that warp drive is engaged. Hang on. The music in this first one is via YouTube licensing, and hopefully shows the beauty of Wraith in motion. Full screen and 1080p High-Definition should enhance the experience. These photos are amazing, and are meta-tagged with Vienna and James Lipman, who we can only assume is a famous photographer. Hat tip to brilliant snapper Mr. Lipman! GIF City, USA … is no Vienna, Austria This next one is a silent old GIF. …

Hottest LA Debuts: 2014 Range Rover LWB Autobiography Black

The LWB Range Rover is a legend in America. For many, it was the breakout car for the brand in the early 1990s. Adding serious lounge space in the back of the County models really made this a cultured Suburban or Tahoe substitute in posh cities. The all-new Range Rover is quite exceptional in many, many ways. In addition to a forthcoming Hybrid model, this new Long Wheelbase version seems like a good choice for shoppers. The change on the exterior from this added length is very subtle, with the LWB Range Rover looking just as posh as ever in …

Lexus RC350 is Hot Hot Hot! Plus UX Updates

Finding the right user experience of a web site is challenging. At Meebo, the chat company I called home for a few years, visiting the office on Castro Street in Mountain View was always an incredible experience. One trip we dropped in on some of the testers – gaggles of giggling teenage gals. In a little closet of a room, there were two computers set up for this menial task. The gals navigated around the pages, leaving heat traces, eye-ball-tracks – the works – for the engineers to analyze later. I am the first to admit: we are all in …

Rolls-Royce Wraith – Color Showcase – Salamanca Blue

Since being swept away on a huge wave of new-found enthusiasm for the Double-R, Wraith has never been more than a few thoughts away. As fun and posh and unforgettable as the ride in a *brand new* Phantom Series II was – the time spent inside Wraith is most tingly. I should mention this now: the name of the vehicle is simply “Wraith” – without anything in front. It might be a bit formal at first, but if not for a 624-horsepower, twin-turbocharged V-12 coupe.. when? Some of the colors that really make Wraith leap into action are set to …
