Road Test Review – 2016 Ferrari California T

Any chance to drive an all-new Ferrari is enough for an epic day off.  What fantastic fortune! The 2016 California T is the facelifted and engine-swapped update of Modena’s only 2+2 cabrio.  Its $205k base price actually makes it the cheapest model in the 488, F12 and GTC4Lusso range. The numbers and noise coming from the twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8’s quad central pipes are definitely not entry-level, however! The new turbo drivetrain definitely delivers warp speed… but in a slightly delayed way that betrays this car’s split soul. Love-at-first-drive in the Ferrari California T? Sadly, no. Let’s find out why this car’s conflicted …

First Drive Photos + Video! 2016 FERRARI California T

Feast your eyes and ears on the new Cali Turbo! We have some incredible insights from the drive, to be published tomorrow. =] Until then, prepare to be blasted by the quad pipes in the below video.  Plus a rather obscene 200 photos of the 2+2 hardtop cabriolet. Power from the new twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 comes in at a stout 560HP and 552-pound-feet.  The engine still loves revs through the seven-speed paddle-shift to make its most ferocious power — but there is big-boost torque throughout the midrange too.  At full chat, the new engine lights up the Cali T like …

Ferrari just unveiled one of its Geneva show debuts: the new Handling Speciale pack on the California Turbo. This promises quicker responses and more intense track settings. This is the first honing of the Cali since its refresh and new engine for 2015.  Upgrades are said to be pretty noticeable on the road — with the transmission and throttle maps now better matched for the V8TT’s power delivery. A shoutier quartet of pipes out back help too. Outside, the HS pack brings a few new elements in a matching matte finish. Grille bars, exhausts, diffuser and ventwork is all darkened. …

Ferrari Pebble Beach 2015 – Record-Breaking Classics + New Cali T Special, Sergio and 488GTB!

Ferrari really went all-out for the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours. The marque was specially honored and featured for classics and concours events this year, which is actually a fairly new phenom in the concours circuit. Think of it as perhaps evolving from such a pre-war focus. Along with cars on the lawn and a smashing auction results list, Ferrari brought out its big guns in terms of new metal. Everything but the FXX K and upcoming 488 Spider made an appearance via official displays. (This is in contrast to McLaren mania last year.) The big reveal was a Tailor Made …

NOVITEC ROSSO Launches 3.3s, 201MPH Ferrari California Turbo Upgrades Catalog

The Ferrari California T just took a huge leap up the performance spectrum — with custom-developed engine, exhaust, suspension, interior and aero mods just launched by Novitec Rosso. The biggest draw for many will be the plug-and-play ECU modules to release an extra 86 horsepower and a meatier, lower torque peak for the brand-new 3.8-liter V8TT engine up front. Performance goes from great to gigantic — with the Novitec Cali T able to hit 62-mph in just 3.3-seconds before hitting a much-higher top speed of 201-mph. The N-TRONIC modules are nice because they can be shipped anywhere in days and …
