The SRT 392 Durango is by far the best-looking Durango produced to date. The SRT package takes the Durango from mundane to monstrous. Exterior It’s nice to know that the hood vents and scoop are real and have an actual purpose, something not seen on many vehicles today, performance or otherwise. The SRT 392 sits lower than the standard Durango and has a more aggressive stance with wider tires. The black dual racing stripes that run the full length of the vehicle on the White Knuckle paint are what really pronounce that this Durango is unique. Without the stripes, it would be a true sleeper. Red Brembo brake calipers can be seen from behind the 20-inch low gloss black 5-spoke rims. Our test vehicle was equipped …

2018 Nissan Rogue SL AWD Platinum Reserve – Road Test Review w/ Drive Video

A few nice updates for Nissan’s crossover sales-champ, the Rogue. In addition to the modest facelift the previous year, the latest Rogue drops the 7-seat option with the mini jump seats, brings a top-notch active safety suite and a new flagship trimline: the Platinum Reserve. The core machine is better than ever – and is a stunningly simple car to drive and own.  As we note in the drive video below, the Rogue sells itself in the first block for many shoppers.  It just seems to be the perfect size for awesome visibility but without being too wide or gigantic to navigate gridlock traffic or tight city streets. We spent a week finding out why the Rogue has wormed its way into so many hearts (and garages) around the world.  What do these drivers know that RAV4 or CR-V owners don’t? Kick things off with a high-performance drive review …

2019 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4×4 – Road Test Review – By Matt Barnes

When looking at the new 2019 Jeep Cherokee, one may wonder how a solid axle XJ from a few decades ago has evolved into a smooth-riding, fully independent suspension and a seemingly less off road capable vehicle. From our experience, the new Cherokee is much better on road and is every bit as capable and possibly even more capable than its predecessor. Exterior For 2019, the Jeep Cherokee has a few exterior updates that are different from the 2018 model, making it more attractive and lighter. The bumpers, LED head lights, LED tail lights, hood and liftgate have all been reworked. These updates were needed and, while small, have greatly improved how the vehicle looks. The Cherokee is a small vehicle and it’s surprising to think that Jeep makes two other SUVs that are smaller than it, the Compass and the Renegade. Even with its relatively low ride height, it’s …

Road Test Review – 2019 Acura RDX A-Spec – By Carl Malek

When we first drove the 2019 Acura RDX in Whistler, British Columbia, we immediately fell in love with its bold exterior styling, tech laden interior, as well as its potent performance hardware. But could the love affair last? and does the RDX finally have what it takes to truly take its bat and swing with the established players in the segment? To find out, we went behind the wheel of a second RDX in Wisconsin, to see if it could indeed handle U.S. roads. Like before, the exterior styling is undoubtedly Acura, but since the 2019 RDX is one of the first offerings that aim to reinvent Acura’s “Precision Crafted Performance Philosophy” the motif here is one that leans towards futuristic cues, as well as a healthy dose of curves, creases, and a bold muscular stance. Acura designers were quick to point out the dragon tail inspired taillights, and there …

2019 Acura MDX Debuts, Brings Nicer Interior, A-Spec Trim To Venerable Nameplate

Following a major refresh that took place back in 2017, Acura’s MDX once again goes under the knife for 2019, and this latest freshening brings several key upgrades to consumers. With the 2019 RDX showcasing Acura’s latest interior design language, the bigger MDX takes a few pages out of its playbook, with noticeably upgraded interior materials. These include higher quality plastics, better leather seats with contrast stitching, and new wood trim selections including Desert Olive Ash accents. Technology and Entertainment package models feature a revised second row, which allows easier access to the third row accommodations. Another key change is the addition of an all new A-Spec variant. Acura is aiming to broaden the appeal of the A-Spec line, and is adding this trim to its utility offerings for the first time ever. Like on the RDX, A-Spec MDXs boast a much more aggressive look that includes a revised front …

Road Test Review – 2018 Maserati Levante SQ4 – By Carl Malek

It seems that the last few years have been the rise and zenith of the SUV. With low fuel prices and increased demand, even companies that were once known for being purely car focused are now getting in on the SUV craze. Maserati is one of these firms eager to take their own slice of the SUV pie. But can this stylish Italian entry truly succeed in helping Maserati pull a figurative upset against established luxury contenders? Or is it proof that Maserati still has alot to learn before taking on established SUV rivals like Land Rover and Porsche?
