The brand intends to turn its appearance at Auto Zürich 2026 into a showcase of its ambitions in design and electric mobility.
STX Concept and Formula E: Opel in a New Era
The STX Concept is a prototype combining an advanced technology approach with a more assertive design, while reinterpreting the heritage cues of the Sports Tourer models. Its front end stands out with a more expressive Opel Vizor, whose curved slats are highlighted by lighting effects.
Beyond its appearance, the STX Concept integrates an active aero device, with rear-moving elements that adapt airflow to driving conditions in order to improve the overall stability of the car. On November 4 at 2:30 p.m., Florian Theis, Opel’s Chief Designer, will present this concept, which is meant to help better understand the brand’s stylistic directions for the future.
Another centerpiece on display is the GEN4 version of Formula E from Opel, the GSE 27FE, powered by an electric drive system over 800 hp, with permanent all-wheel drive and an energy recovery capability reaching 700 kW. Slated for the track in the upcoming FE season, the single-seat race car adopts styling that reflects the evolution of the GSE identity.
Corsa GSE and Interactive Play Space
Already open to orders, the new Opel Corsa GSE will make its Swiss debut at the show. The hatchback develops 207 kW, or 280 horsepower, and a torque of 345 Nm. It features a lowered sport chassis and can theoretically sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds for a top speed of 180 km/h.
Opel also aims to appeal to a broader audience with the Zafira Gaming Van. Dressed in the GSE visual language, this converted vehicle offers an experience blending automobile, video games, and virtual sports. Several consoles and gaming stations will let visitors explore a variety of universes.
Simulation enthusiasts can notably take the virtual wheel of the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo, a 588 kW, or 800 hp, model in the game Gran Turismo 7. The stand will also showcase several models from Opel’s current lineup: the new Astra Sports Tourer alongside the Grandland Electric AWD and the Frontera Hybrid.
