Quelques mois après en avoir dévoilé les grandes lignes,
Sanrivatti revient sur le devant de la scène avec
une première image teaser de sa future hypercar au concept
révolutionnaire…
Sanrivatti : une autre idée de l’hypercar…
The full exterior design will be revealed on November 13, at the company’s headquarters in the Netherlands. Still hidden in the shadows, this three-quarter rear view (see our slideshow) offers a first glimpse of a model developed around an ambitious philosophy named
Apex Position. A concept introduced by the brand founded by Santiago Sánchez Rivero, an engineer who previously worked at Donkervoort, is presented as a world premiere.
Sanrivatti’s aim is to design an architecture entirely centered around the driver. Rather than starting with the chassis or the powertrain, the maker intends to place the human body at the heart of the design, taking into account posture, balance and the ability to feel the vehicle’s movements.
The objective is to reduce the physical and sensory distance between man and machine, in order to foster a driving experience that is more direct and instinctive.
Sanrivatti : l’influence du MotoGP
With the Apex Position, the driver would abandon the traditional driving position in favor of a forward-leaning stance. The torso would be brought closer to the structure, the arms extended toward the controls and the legs stretched toward the rear. A setup that echoes the posture of a MotoGP rider as he hunkers over the fuel tank of his machine.
According to Sanrivatti, this arrangement would allow the driver to better read the road or track, while sharpening his perception of the vehicle’s responses. The field of vision is, moreover, one of the main development focuses.
Nevertheless, such an approach requires a fundamental rethink of many design aspects. The first challenge concerns physical endurance. During a long on-track session, the neck, shoulders, arms and spine can endure significant strain. Accelerations, heavy braking and lateral G-forces in corners risk making this position unusually taxing.
Maintaining the head and keeping a stable line of sight over the laps will thus be essential. A comfortable posture for a few minutes could become tiring over a longer duration.
Sanrivatti : un concept qui n’est pas sans défis…
La visibilité constitue un autre enjeu majeur. Sanrivatti asserts that the Apex Position should broaden the driver’s field of view. However, a very low and inclined stance can also alter perception of the surroundings, peripheral vision and distance assessment.
L’accès à bord devra lui aussi être étudié avec attention. An architecture that brings the driver’s body closer to the front structure requires rethinking door openings, cabin ingress and extraction options in case of an incident.
L’ergonomie des commandes soulève également des interrogations. Will the future hypercar retain a conventional steering wheel or adopt motorcycle‑inspired controls?
Finally, the integration of safety equipment represents another major challenge. The cabin structure, seat belts or harnesses, potential airbags and deformation zones will need to be adapted to the occupants’ actual positions.
“Alors que nous passons du concept à la réalisation matérielle, nous sommes impatients de dévoiler le design extérieur complet de notre nouvelle hypercar révolutionnaire, au siège de notre entreprise aux Pays-Bas, le 13 novembre”, declares Santiago Sánchez Rivero. “Cette étape marquera l’aboutissement réussi d’un nouveau jalon stratégique et technique depuis que Sanrivatti est sortie de sa phase de confidentialité plus tôt cette année.”
