A new automaker is arriving in France, and for once it isn’t a Chinese brand. Lucid is American, and it built its name with electric vehicles that push performance to astonishing levels, delivering ranges well over 900 kilometers. The lineup is now available to order, and prices align with what the cars deliver.
A lineup starting from roughly $95,000
The Lucid electric lineup starts where others stop—or almost. The American manufacturer has just officialized the prices of its EVs at a premium level. Indeed, the entry point is 86,900 euros (about $95,000) with the Lucid Air Pure. This isn’t a mere air purifier, but the base version of the luxury electric sedan, a competitor to Tesla’s Model S in its debut market footprint.
But this entry-level model is already compelling, offering 442 horsepower, an 86 kWh battery, and up to 832 kilometers (about 517 miles) of range. With its 800-volt architecture, it can stand up to the Mercedes‑Benz C-Class and the BMW i4 on price, especially once you add options.
The Lucid Air Touring is priced at 100,900 euros (roughly $110,000). It features all-wheel drive with two motors for 628 horsepower and an autonomy of 780 kilometers (about 485 miles).
The Lucid Air Grand Touring is offered at 131,900 euros (about $145,000) for a range of up to 960 kilometers (roughly 596 miles). It thus becomes the car with the longest range on the French market!
More than $250k for the top of the line
But prices soar well beyond that if you’re eyeing the Lucid Air Sapphire. This ultra-technological version is listed at €252,900 (approximately $278,000). It delivers up to 1,251 horsepower, accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in about 2 seconds, and can top out at 205 mph. It stands as one of the most capable electric vehicles on the market, surpassing a Porsche Taycan or an electric Cayenne in outright performance. And this hotter variant doesn’t compromise on range, with a official figure of 694 kilometers (about 431 miles).
Lucid also reveals the pricing for its SUV, Gravity. It uses a very large 89 kWh battery in the entry-level Touring version, priced at €95,900 (about $106,000). It delivers 545 kilometers (339 miles) of range and 568 horsepower. The Touring Plus adds seven seats as standard and is priced at €99,900 (roughly $110,000).
For more range, you’ll want the Gravity Grand Touring, which uses a 123 kWh battery, making it one of the largest in the market. Range climbs to 739 kilometers (about 459 miles), power to 839 horsepower, and price to €120,900 (around $133,000). Finally, to enjoy the full experience, the Gravity Grand Touring Ultimate tops out at €148,900 (about $164,000), offering rear-wheel steering, a three-chamber air suspension, a 22-speaker audio system, and the DreamDrive 2 Pro autonomous driving system.
The Lucid lineup is thus complete and comprehensive right from the brand’s launch in France. With its premium offerings and impressive range, the automaker has every reason to appeal to customers seeking cutting-edge technology in a vehicle.
