A full-size Mercedes SUV delivering 333 hp, a plug-in hybrid, barely a year old and showing just 4,477 miles on the clock… On paper, the price tag could easily exceed €90,000. Yet a Mercedes GLE 350 4Matic matching this description is currently listed at €63,950 in Germany. A compelling opportunity for buyers seeking power, range, and comfort.
A Mercedes GLE 350 with just 4,477 miles
With its imposing footprint, the Mercedes GLE isn’t exactly the first choice when it comes to shrinking trips to the gas station. Still, there is a fairly unusual powertrain that blends the virtues of a diesel with those of a plug-in hybrid.
This is the GLE 350 4Matic. This version, which is no longer offered new in this diesel-hybrid plug-in configuration, pairs a four-cylinder diesel engine with an electric motor.
The unit spotted by Auto Bild’s colleagues was first registered in September 2025. A year later, its odometer shows only 4,477 miles. It is also a one-owner vehicle, and its condition appears particularly close to new in the photos published by the seller.
This Mercedes GLE 350 develops a combined output of 333 horsepower. Its main appeal lies in the diesel-electric pairing. With the battery charged and the tank full, this setup is especially suited for drivers who cover long distances while still being able to run on electricity on suitable routes.
A true premium SUV
The all-wheel-drive 4Matic is also part of the package. This GLE isn’t just about reducing fuel consumption; it preserves the capabilities you expect from a large premium Mercedes SUV.
This powertrain remains relatively rare. Auto Bild counts about 4,583 used Mercedes GLEs on the German market. Of those, roughly 1,000 are equipped with this diesel-electric combination. Narrowing the search to examples with under 10,000 km (about 6,214 miles) leaves about 330 vehicles.
The offered unit doesn’t skimp on equipment either. It notably includes a panoramic sunroof and heated front seats for both the driver and front passenger.
The MBUX multimedia system is also present. The listing also notes a tow hitch as well as MultiBeam headlights. The interior gets light-colored upholstery which, like the rest of the car, appears in excellent condition in the dealer’s photos.
A GLE at this price—is it a deal?
What makes this particular unit especially appealing is the price. The German seller asks €63,950. By comparison, access to the new Mercedes GLE lineup currently starts at more than €87,000 on the German market according to Auto Bild. In France, the new generation is listed from €94,000 with a 100%… diesel engine!
Before it disappeared from the catalog, the plug-in hybrid diesel GLE cost around €90,000 before options. Given the equipment on this example, its sticker price would likely have exceeded that figure. The savings are thus estimated at about €26,000 versus a new one.
On top of that comes a 24-month warranty. For €63,950, the offer combines low mileage, 333 horsepower, and a diesel-hybrid powertrain that’s particularly suited to heavy-mileage drivers. A combination that has become rare in the new-car market and which could make this GLE 350 especially attractive as a used purchase.
