Tesla Fans’ Madness Adds Another Surreal Chapter: A Children’s Story Proving the Cybertruck Is a Misunderstood Vehicle

May 12, 2026

The Tesla Cybertruck has never been an ordinary car. Although it hasn’t been a sales darling, since its unveiling in 2019, this electric pickup with its improbable silhouette has lived between fascination and rejection. It is now back in the spotlight for something hard to imagine: a children’s book written to defend it, available on Amazon for about 13 euros.

The book is titled ‘The Ugly Truckling: The Story of My Cybertruck’, as the title plays on ‘The Ugly Duckling’, the original English name of ‘El patito feo’. By replacing duckling (duckling) with truckling, a term coined from truck, it aims to present the Cybertruck as an misunderstood vehicle that receives criticism solely for being different.

The tale presents the Cybertruck as an extraordinary vehicle, capable of facing situations where others fail. In one of the most discussed pages, during a flood, the text states that “cars couldn’t move, everyone was stuck” while the Cybertruck manages to advance.
