Lamborghini Huracan Evo Gains Amazon Alexa Capability For 2020 [Video]

It’s not too often that Italian supercars brand Lamborghini makes an appearance at CES, but the bespoke firm used the opportunity to reveal that the Huracan will be adding Amazon‘s Alexa technology to its suite of infotainment system tricks for the new model year.

Lamborghini even unveiled a brief video clip of Alexa in action, with the system having the ability to alter the color of the cabin interior lighting, change the climate control settings, open the garage door, find nearby points of interest and so much more. Alexa is slated to be an optional extra that can be equipped to both the rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants of the Huracan Evo. Lamborghini did not reveal how much it would cost to equip it to the car, but expect that information to be revealed closer to the updated Evo’s official launch. The nifty technology improvements aside, the 2020 version of the Evo recently gained the addition of the fore-mentioned rear wheel drive model. While this variant still utilizes the familiar 5.2 liter V10, it now makes 610 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. This is less than the 630 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque generated by the all-wheel drive model, but the RWD version is lighter as a result, with the car capable of making the sprint to 60 mph in 3,3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 203 mph. With all the power going to the back wheels, Lamborghini engineers have added a dynamic steering system and a tweaked traction control system to help make power delivery more manageable for owners.

Sales of the Evo begin this spring, with the rear-wheel drive model starting at $208,571 in the U.S. while the all-wheel drive model is predictably a pricier proposition thanks to its $261,274 sticker price. A Spyder version could eventually make its way into the lineup, which would make sense considering that the droptop is already available on the standard all-wheel drive coupe.
