2017 Porsche Panamera TURBO – Startup/Exhaust Video + 44 Photos

The new Panamera Turbo is all about headline numbers versus the rest of the range.

3.4-seconds to 60-mph.

190-mph top speed.

All-new 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 with 550HP and a snarl worthy of the Porsche crest.

The exterior is indeed very evolutionary from up front.  New PDLS+ and LED matrix lighting sets the car apart as the new model, as do the new intercoolers behind every nose hole.  Intercooler as fashion statement!  They are bright silver so definitely stand out to the eye — in the best way.

Around the side and rear end, the car looks much fresher.  A new windowline and roof/trunk interplay makes the Panamera look much more like a proper sedan versus a hatchback.  Which it still is.

But with the new wagon Gran Turismo Panamera joining the range, this standard bodystyle is shifted toward the traditional super-sedan look.  Flowing lines in profile meet a much more serious tail.  Slimline LED brake lights and full-width Porsche letters in a black, below-spoiler area link the new Panamera design to the latest in 911 and 718 styles.

Inside is where current owners will really be grateful this is the 2017 model versus the ones before.  A few of the aircraft-inspired buttons and switches remain, but the vast majority are swapped for touchscreens front and rear.  A new steering-wheel mounted drive mode selector simplifies life and makes Sport+ only a wrist-flick away.

Check out this brief startup video to hear the new Panamera Turbo fire up and deploy its three-piece rear wing.

PS: yes this post features multiple Panameras!  There are five or six shades of blue available.
