1972 Porsche 911 Evergreen by KAEGE.de

Imagine loving a 70s Porsche so much that you rebody the entire machine in carbon fiber and ramp up the power to a very-modern 300 ponies?

First off, how could anyone not love their vintage 911 this much?!  Secondly, the upgrades here are so loving and thoughtful that they deserve a big salute.

A weight savings of almost 400 pounds is pretty sweet no matter what the starting point. So is the 3.6-liter, air-cooled boxer engine!  Classic style for the lights, of course, but updated to the latest high-dollar Osram LED optics.  Same for the new li-ion LITE-BLOX racing battery, modern seats and steering wheel, and even carbon-fiber for modest details like the inner trunk panels.  Even the original Becker Mexico radio faceplate hides modern goodies!

Ka-lass-eee!!!

In all: a very holistic and well-executed resto-mod from KAEGE Retro — one that definitely will be evergreen year round.

PS: Great photos, Jordi!

A great dream of the automobile all-round car tuning company KAEGE GmbH at Stetten in Rhineland-Palatine, Germany, is especially near and dear for its Executive Director Roger KAEGE: The KAEGE RETRO. At this end, patterned on the 1970s look advanced automotive engineering has been integrated into the car by the company head and his crew.

Without any doubts, the 1972 Porsche 911 F-series is one of the automobile rarities. The Porsche 911 “master pattern” has its origin in 1963 and is seen as the brand’s Paragon. To drive such a looking near to the master form 911, that are not only moments of aesthetics and sensuality for connoisseurs. These moments are also looked for by the KAEGE team. With never ending devotion to detail, the Stetten crew lets a vision come true, combines in handiwork perfection the advanced air-cooled series 993 engineering with the typical for the proto 911 look.

The best air-cooled engines, that Porsche had always produced in series, in combination with the indeed timelessly charming F model design of 1972 is a relation warranting assuredly for extraordinary driving moments, without having to miss up to date driving comfort. For these aims, KAEGE takes a Porsche 993 as basis and modifies it in look that way that it rather can be distinguished from the F-series model. The whole equipment, such as air conditioning, six speed gear, brake system, multi-link rear suspension, airbag, wipers and many more stays unchanged, likewise the OBD capability, which in same time means that the car service can be made by Porsche workshops worldwide.

For the carbon fiber exterior of the KAEGE RETRO in company own Backdate design, the Palatiners pull out all the stops of car body handicraft, in order to correspond to the graceful language of shape of the F-series model in detail. The air-cooled 3.6 liters engine produces 300 HP for a total car weight of 1,195 kg, the latter being also a result of the lithium battery. Special attention was given to the lamps in classic design, in which Osram LED technology was recently integrated. Three-part rims in Fuchs design with correspondent tirage and KW coilovers ensure the necessary driving dynamics. The interior is completely determined by the individual preferences of the client for the 1970s flair, together with Becker navigation and Recaro seats.

No question: The KAEGE RETRO is nostalgia in stunning perfection. Last not least to be known that the car can be admired on the Retro Classic at Stuttgart 2016 (March, 16-20) in Hall no. 4.
