What better way to drive home how exotic the TopCar Stinger GTR is than to see its all-new carbon bodywork make up that iconic 911 shape — even without the Porsche underneath to distract the eye.
This custom upgraded exterior looks exceptionally high-quality in its raw form. Yet also featherlight and dropping the OEM curb weight by around 200 pounds. Along with the menu of power and handling mods, the Stinger GTR definitely packs a strong punch. Like a prize fighter in carbon-kevlar, nothing it getting past these TopCar turbos!
The full carbon Stinger GTR is set for the TopCar show stand at Geneva 2016 in March, but first orders are already shipping to US and global buyers. It is a direct-fit replacement for the factory body work on all sides — fitting both the 991 coupe and cabriolet.
Favorite design elements? The deep new sill scoop creating extra ducts to the 911 Turbo’s side air intakes. The nose is also a shout louder than the stock Turbo and Turbo S — helping clear the fast lane effectively worldwide.
The choice now? To paint or not to paint! TopCar’s fashion photoshoot shows a gorgeous middle ground: with a shimmery anthracite grey gloss over still-visible carbon weave below. Hot!

PART TWO – THE STINGER GTR
If you like the Stinger kit from TopCar for the 911 Carrera, brace yourself for the Stinger GTR pack for the Turbo and Turbo S!
The GTR package focuses on true performance enhancement via its bodykit elements, with the aero pieces helping plant the 911 Turbo at 200-mph as well as turn heads at 20-mph. Versus the stock 911 Turbo on the left, you can see in the image below how vastly altered the Stinger GTR is.
This widebody is so huge and intense that only the bottom of the door-frames are instantly recognizable as 911 pieces. The rest of the bodywork just explodes laterally in a massive flare at all four corners. We love the seamless fender flares – a feat only possible by replacing the entire factory steel and alloy body with lightweight carbon panels.
One particularly interesting detail? The new beltline crease rising from the back of the front fenders up and over the all-new rear fenders and into the tail in one sweeping motion. It is deeply satisfying to behold. The aero whale-tail in contrast black is a final feat of coolness in the Stinger GTR design.
A clear lacquer effect for the carbon makes a bold statement, but these pieces are all available individually and can come primed for paint or in clear carbon-fiber as on the demo car.
TopCar Stinger GTR for Porsche 991 Turbo
A stock supercar is quickly becoming passe in many circles. To really draw admiring stares among the exotic-car cognoscenti, you need to step up to make your car one-of-a-kind. There are many ways to approach customizing your machine — but typically, this is the road map of tuning steps we would follow:
— rolling stock enhancements via wheels/tires
— power tweaks via ECU reflashes or engine upgrades
— exhaust harmonic changes
— a dramatic exterior makeover via custom aero pieces — every angle should show unique aggression versus factory models

TopCar is becoming a bit of a favorite tuning boutique around here. This Russia-based firm takes a holistic upgrade strategy to its cars from Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover. They partner with Lumma Design, ADV1 wheels, Brembo brakes, 9ff Engineering mechanicals, TechArt spoilers and numerous other suppliers to completely transform cars in all seven ‘steps’ outlined above.
This is a serious power-house tuner. The upgrade catalog alone for the Porsche 911 Carrera in 991 form is extremely deep, but can also be sold individually.
The focus here is the 991 Stinger Porsche. Originally just fitting the C4S and C4’s wider rear hips, the TopCar Stinger overhaul is now available for the C2 and C2S. Ragtops and coupes look equally stunning in the TopCar kit.
TopCar has a very cool and memorable aesthetic for its famous Cayenne, Panamera and Macan models. Same goes for these 911’s — with vacuum-formed carbon-fiber pieces to alter almost every inch of the car’s exterior surfaces.
It is all about seamless front wings, flowing widebody additions to the bodysides and major aggression in the tail.
