UFC Hero Conor McGregor Scores 2015 Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead

Nothing evokes images of wealth and affluence quite like the sight of a Rolls Royce rolling down the street. That may have been the thought that crossed UFC champion Conor McGregor’s mind when he splurged on an early Christmas gift: a Phantom Drophead Rolls Royce Coupe.

McGregor is no stranger to high-end luxury cars and is currently working on building a fleet of his own. His current lineup includes three BMWs – a 4 series, a 5 series and an i8 – a Range Rover, a Cadillac Escalade and a Mercedes S500 AMG Coupe.

The Rolls Royce that is making its way into his lineup is by far the most expensive car in his garage, coming in at a mind-blowing $440,000. Yes, you read that right. The UFC champion has dropped nearly half a million dollars on a car, without batting an eye.

An Opulent Auto

The Phantom Drophead is described by many as the “ultimate in open-air opulence,” and it lives up to the name. It’s sleek and sporty without losing the traditional strong lines that are the trademark of Rolls Royce. It’s not all about good looks though. The hood hides an enormous 6.75-liter V12 engine that helps this beautiful beast tear down the road, accelerating from 0-60 in less than 6 seconds. For its size and weight, that is phenomenal.

If the $440,000 price tag doesn’t slow you down, there are a ton of different features that you can add, including some that are purely aesthetic. The Starlight Headliner, for example, is a fully customizable addition to the leather headliner of the car. It adds between 800 and 1,600 fiber optic lights to the headliner in an entirely unique configuration, creating the appearance of a sky full of stars without having to leave the comfort of your leather upholstery.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe’s are the pinnacle of bespoke style, and the creative team strives to make each car as unique and amazing as the person that drives it. The bespoke team works with buyers to customize every detail, from the sound system and steering to the color of the upholstery and trim, and of course the headliner filled with stars.

Funds Not a Factor

This monument of engineering and extravagance might be a little outside your price range – or a lot outside it, for most of us – but it’s pocket change to McGregor, who may soon become the first UFC fighter to earn the title of $100 million fighter. He’s also considering moving into a $1.4 million home with a great garage for his cars, and is planning on buying his girlfriend a Porsche.

It will be interesting to see what car makes its way into McGregor’s collection next, since there aren’t many cars on the market more expensive or opulent than the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe. However, there’s more than a few that we would like to see make their way into that garage. We’ll just have to wait and see what spirit moves him or his wallet.
