This Skyline GT-R sedan may find fewer general-interest fanboys, but among the cult of the Nissan 4DSC, it is the one to have.
Nissan is eagerly cultivating the Hakosuka’s US descent’s return to 4-Door Sports Car glory with the 2016 Maxima, widely expected to debut in Detroit in January just a few days before this auction takes place in Arizona.
Sure, the link between the two is tenuous, but the lineage could not be more clear. How is Nissan building buzz for the Maxima’s relaunch? It recently had a 1996 Maxima SE 5-Speed restored to showroom-fresh glory. We would have preferred the 1989-1995 model in that creamy white metallic, but such is life.
Bag this Hakosuka to become a grand-daddy of cult heroes at your next 4DSC reunion– And for general grins making every commute into a Gran Turismo road course…!
