Iconic Classics – 1955 Aston Martin DB3S Earned $3.7M At RM Monterey 2012

Aston Martin classic buyers come in similar taste preference buckets as new Aston buyers: either conservative Silver and Green rule the mind, or wild shades and racing liveries.

This fire orange example of a pristine DB3S falls into the latter camp very spectacularly.

Emblematic of Aston’s resurgent post-war mission to take on the world’s best in racing, the DB3S is best known today as one of the most beautiful racing roadsters of all time.
