The LWB Range Rover is a legend in America.
For many, it was the breakout car for the brand in the early 1990s. Adding serious lounge space in the back of the County models really made this a cultured Suburban or Tahoe substitute in posh cities.
The all-new Range Rover is quite exceptional in many, many ways. In addition to a forthcoming Hybrid model, this new Long Wheelbase version seems like a good choice for shoppers.
The change on the exterior from this added length is very subtle, with the LWB Range Rover looking just as posh as ever in this beautiful white from the LA show.

The Range Rover Long-Wheelbase will make its global premiere alongside the Range Rover Long-Wheelbase Autobiography Black edition at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The public reveals will take place on November 20, 2013 at 10am PST during the Land Rover press conference.

Range Rover Long-Wheelbase
Debuting at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, long-wheelbase Range Rover models have 7.3-inches more rear seat legroom than standard-wheelbase models and when equipped with the optional executive seating package, an increased seatback recline of 17 degrees. Customer deliveries of long-wheelbase range rover models are expected to commence in late Q1 2014.
The additional 7.3-inches of rear legroom has been achieved by lengthening the aluminum unibody in front of the rear wheels. The signature floating roof and distinctive Range Rover silhouette are retained.
Long-wheelbase variants will initially be available on Supercharged and Autobiography trim levels with either a three-across bench seat or individual rear seats with a center console. The individual rear seats can recline to 17 degrees, a full eight degrees more than in the standard-wheelbase. All long-wheelbase vehicles will be equipped with standard powered door blinds and a panoramic sunroof, and carry a distinctive ‘L’ badge insignia displayed on the lower front door trims.
