Kia’s Telluride SUV Brings Bold Styling and Rugged Capability To Kia SUV Lineup

Kia has been on a roll as of late, and it had a very strong 2018 with the unveiling of the redesigned Kia Forte, as well as the recent unveiling of the redesigned Soul lineup. But amid the vibes generated by these models, as well as the ongoing success of the Kia Stinger sport sedan, a notable void existed in its SUV lineup with the Sorento being the biggest offering that Kia offered. The Korean car brand decided to change that today, and has unveiled the biggest SUV it has ever produced, the 2020 Kia Telluride. Before we get into what makes the Telluride such an important vehicle for Kia, we might as well focus on the origins of its odd name. Instead of originating from the bowels of the marketing department, or a clever buzz word at the advertising department, the Telluride moniker is derived from Telluride, Colorado a …

2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia TI Sport AWD – Review By Ben Lewis

Have you ever been at a get-together, and it’s ok, but kinda snoozy? You know just about everyone; the talk is the same stuff it always is. Then someone new shows up that’s fun, different and interesting, and all of a sudden, you’re glad you were there. Meet the Alfa Romeo Giulia – the life of the party. You may know Alfa Romeo. The last time the brand sold a vehicle here was in 1995. But this is a famous brand with an amazing heritage. Alfa was the first car to win the World Automobile Championship in 1925, and followed with a win in the first F1 championship. Heck Enzo Ferrari started as a race driver for the brand in 1921. Even more so, Alfa is bona fide in making awesome road cars. Even though their presence was small here in the US, we did have Dustin Hoffman tooling around …

2020 Toyota Supra Officially Breaks Cover, 335 Horsepower and $49k MSRP Are Compelling Combination

When it comes to the saga surrounding the 2020 Toyota Supra, it was a classic example of what could happen when a company’s attempt at keeping something so valuable and secret under wraps goes so horribly wrong. Quickly becoming the worst kept secret in recent memory, the endless torrent of leaks brought many aspects of the Supra to the masses early (much to the chagrin of Toyota officials.) But at long last, the 2020 Toyota Supra has OFFICIALLY debuted, and as Toyota CEO Akira Toyoda mentioned in his remarks to the assembled media this morning, “Good things come to those who wait.” Indeed this adage holds true when one looks at the exterior styling of the resurrected Supra. Whereas other models in Toyota’s hierarchy have about as visual excitement as watching the Antiques Roadshow on TV, the exterior styling of the Supra is like jumping head first into a futuristic …

Lexus Showcases 2020 RC F & Limited Production RC F Track Edition Ahead of NAIAS

In a world where it seems SUVs are out to take over everything that the automobile stands for, Lexus has decided to buck the trend for NAIAS 2019, and instead has chosen Detroit to debut a trio of new cars. In addition to the fore-mentioned LC Convertible concept, Lexus is also debuting much needed updates to the 2020 Lexus RC F, as well as the limited edition RC F Track Edition in an attempt to make the RC F a true contender to some of the best that Germany and Italy have to offer.   2020 Lexus RC F: Before we get to the main course, we might as well start with a figurative appetizer, and dive into the suite of updates that define the 2020 Lexus RC F. Like the face lifted RC coupe that debuted at the Paris Auto Show, Lexus engineers have applied many of that models …

Road Test Review – 2018 Honda Pilot Elite – By Carl Malek

The race for supremacy in the mid-size SUV segment has never been as hotly contested as it has been over the past few years. A strong push in sales and a rapid shift in demand from U.S. customers has forced many automakers to step up their game in catering to the ever evolving needs of a new generation of families. But can even benchmark entries standout against a growing pool of mid-size SUV offerings? To find out, we spent some time with the 2018 Honda Pilot to see if this venerable Honda can still maintain its winning ways in this key segment. Family-Friendly Styling … and Odd Graphic Placement: The exterior styling of our Elite grade tester will not win any awards for its dynamic lines nor its athletic inspiration, but the Pilot is still a very good representation of function over form. The White Diamond Metallic paint that adorned …

Road Test Review – 2018 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring – By Carl Malek

With the 2019 Mazda CX-5 waiting in the wings with its all new turbocharged four cylinder engine, and a whole host of refinement updates, the 2018 Mazda CX-5 has the unenviable task of holding down the fort and maintaining the strong legacy that the model has built for itself since it made its first appearance several years ago. But the SUV and CUV wars are changing at a rapid fire pace with seemingly a new model being unveiled almost every week. But can the 2018 CX-5 succeed in its minor but jey supporting role? Or will the 2019 CX-5 have to pick up the pieces when it eventually makes its way to Mazda showrooms? Minimalism Rules and That’s a Good Thing: While 2018’s updates are more on the restrained side when it comes to exterior styling, we are glad that the bulk of the CX-5’s styling cues have largely remained …
