2.5s, 830HP 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabrio By Wimmer RST

How do you go from about 550 horsepower to well past 800?  Carefully!

Wimmer RennSportTechnik has spent months developing their latest engine magic for the latest 911 Turbo S.  A wholesale revamp of the engine electronics, breathing and even mechanicals was required to have such Bugatti-like boost flowing through the H6TT motor.

The results are quite shocking: the sprint pace is shockingly rapid.  Even more than the factory car, which is no slouch.  The overall vMax is stunning too: this machine can do a confirmed 226-mph!

In 1963, the sensational Porsche 911 was presented to the public. The seventh generation of the Nine eleven is now called 991. Its top models Turbo and Turbo S have rear axle steering and are fascinating eye candy in the convertible version as well. Exactly that stunning constellation – a Porsche 991 Turbo S Convertible – received a lavish performance increase at WIMMER Rennsporttechnik in Solingen.

The entire engine electronics was scrutinized and sections underwent a detailed revision. The installation of two WIMMER turbo chargers and sport camshafts as well as intercooler have been implemented. Also the cylinder head machining, the pistons and connecting rods received a professional upgrade. The fuel pump, the intake manifold and the throttle valve also experienced some adjustments.
Furthermore, a high-pressure pump, a BMC high flow air filter for the suction optimization and a Saeco tube kit was provided. The icing on the cake, however, is the WIMMER-RS stainless steel exhaust
system with an electronic throttle system equipped with two 100-cells sport catalytic converters by HJS.
The costs for the engine modification amount to 52.500 Euro.
The result is beyond astonishing! The original power of 560 PS has been catapulted to a mighty 840 PS. The results are a brutal 860 Nm maximum of torque and a breathtaking Vmax of 364 km/h. That offers the ideal conditions in order to launch from 0 to 100 km/h in 2,6 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h in 8,4 seconds and from standing position to 300 km/h in 17,9 seconds!

In addition, a KW club sport chassis for 5.850 Euro as well as PDK modification for 6.400 Euro are obtainable.

The vehicle – including the complete conversion – is available at WIMMER for 310.000 Euro.
By the way, the orange colored vinyl wrap attracts attention!
