The 2016 Mustang GT is a pure performance-inspiring sports car that delivers endless fun with copious amounts of horsepower. Ford definitely got the redesign correct as the mustang sits lower and wider than before helping it cut through the wind with precision and finesse. At just over 3700 pounds, the new pony car can handle its own in today’s sports car market.

When you step foot inside the newly designed cabin you are surrounded by the leather wrapped steering wheel with all the creature comfort buttons, like cruise, radio, and phone. The leather wrapped and well-bolstered seats hold you firmly in place, and they are a delight to sit in compared to the 2014 mustang seats. If you opt for the standard leather seats, you will be welcomed with cooling and heating options. If you crave race seats for those days on the track, you can opt to pay extra for the Recaro leather seats, which offer even more side bolstering and cornering comfort for spirited driving. To keep you informed on what the car is doing, there is an info screen in the dash where you can select how you want the car to perform, and keep track of mileage, oil changes, etc. The stereo for the 2016 Mustang comes in standard or optional shaker with SYNC to keep you up to date on your music selections, and incoming phone calls. Once you have everything set to your liking, with the key fob in your pocket, push the start button to bring the 5.0L coyote engine to life, and you soon will be on your way to a day of fun driving.

The Exterior of the GT

There are 10 colors to choose from when optioning your Mustang GT. The car looks menacing sitting still, lighting up the road with HID headlights and led running lights. Taking the twisty back roads are easy picking for the Mustang thanks to the independent rear suspension, it soaks up bumps and helps keep the rear end planted through the turns. For safety, the bright LED turn signals are located in the rearview mirrors, and blink sequentially in the rear to keep other drivers aware on which way you are going. There are different wheels available depending on what package you select, whether it’s the Fastback or Fastback Premium. Just know that Ford has you covered whether you want 20” or 19” wheels and they come in black or machined finish. One thing many people want in a sports car is a decent size trunk, the Mustang GT has you covered.  The trunk is contoured with the wide body of the car, and gives way for increased space for bags, whether heading on vacation or shopping.

Ford knows the average commute needs to be a fun and exhilarating ride, whether you are heading to work or to the grocery store. The 2016 Mustang GT will get you there in style and comfort; it’s just up to you if you want to take it for a ride.
