Salon Prive is still a few months out, but excitement is already starting to build for the tenth-anniversary of the supercar gala. Think of it as a mix of rolling car show, concours and outdoor festival for those who sweat petrol.
A new location at Blenheim Palace is huge news for the car show: this gorgeous castle of a country estate is 300-years of baroque history -- living and breathing healthily into 2015.
A preview kickoff event recently brought ten extra-special 2015 Salon Prive showcars together to explore the new digs. Thankfully for us far away, a simply *stunning* Max Earey photoshoot shows off some of the latest carbon-fiber hypercars on location in 125 photos.
Of course, these ten special cars include the LaFerrari, McLaren P1, Koenigsegg One:1 and Porsche 918. Also in the preview event mix are a Countach 5000 and Bugatti EB110.
On the show-day proper, hundreds of modern and classic exotic cars will make this lawn a dream-come-true for supercar fans.
Salon Prive tickets are on sale now ahead of the early September kick-off. So get your summer suit pressed, wax up the car and get ready to enjoy a slice the manor-born life at Blenheim Palace!
SALON PRIVÉ HOLDS SPECTACULAR LAUNCH EVENT AT NEW HOME BLENHEIM PALACE
- Ten spectacular cars on display to celebrate ten years of Salon Privé
- Iconic hypercars showcased: Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder
- His Grace, the 12th Duke of Marlborough, welcomed guests into his home in anticipation of the main event in September
Salon Privé gave a sneak preview of what’s in store this coming September when the event opens for the first time at Blenheim Palace. Co-founders Andrew & David Bagley presented their latest exciting news to invited media, sponsors and exhibitors before being joined by His Grace, the 12th Duke of Marlborough.
Celebrating its tenth anniversary, ten impressive cars were displayed firstly within the Great Court and then on to the South Lawn where the main event will be held. Carefully selected, the cars represented key elements of the event including the Concours d’Elégance, which is one of the top three most prominent classic car events in the world, and the newly introduced ‘Speed & Style’ supercar competition.
Also present were the illustrious three hypercars of modern times – McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder, as well as the Koenigsegg One-1 – with the baroque Blenheim Palace creating the perfect backdrop.
Alongside the hypercars, the line-up of dazzling cars included a Bentley Speed Six (Old Number Three), Lamborghini Countach 5000s, Bugatti EB110 Super Sport, Ferrari 308 GTB, Ferrari 330GTC and Porsche 904GTS.
“It was a great opportunity for us to present our new ideas which, until now, have been under wraps,” commented co-founder David Bagley. “The impressive display of hand-picked cars clearly set the tone for what can be expected in September, when we also welcome world-renowned luxury and lifestyle brands and the artists also on display.”
His Grace, the 12th Duke of Marlborough, added: “It was wonderful to see so many amazing cars here today at the Salon Privé Media Launch. My family and I are very much looking forward to welcoming Salon Privé to Blenheim Palace in September for its tenth anniversary celebrations, and hopefully, for many years to come.”
